Frequently Asked Questions

  • Types of window tint:

    • Dyed film: absorbs some heat, mainly reduces glare/light.

    • Metallic / hybrid: reflects a portion of heat but can interfere with signals.

    • Ceramic: uses nano-ceramic particles to block a large amount of infrared energy without needing to be super dark.

Overall, Nano-Ceramic Tint is better for:

Long-term durability– Won’t fade, discolor, bubble, or turn purple over time

No signal interference– 100% non-metallic, so GPS, Bluetooth, cell service, and keyless entry work perfectly

Better visibility & clarity– Reduces glare without creating haze, reflection, or night-time distortion.

Comfort without darkness – Delivers high performance without needing an extremely dark tint

Premium look & finish– Cleaner appearance with a more uniform, factory-quality finish

  • IR is what you feel baking your skin.

    • Dyed film: typically has 10–30% IR rejection

    • Metallic / hybrid: has around 30–60%

    • Ceramic: usually has 80–98%

High-end ceramic films (like the Xpel nano-ceramic film we use) live in the upper 90s. This large difference allows for more heat rejection at lighter shades

Actual temperature change depends on car color, glass size, sun angle, etc., but customers usually notice:

    • Dyed tint: often 5–10°F cooler

    • Ceramic tint: often 15–25°F cooler, especially on arms/face

The big difference is how fast heat builds and how intense the sun feels while driving.

Nano-Ceramic tint dramatically reduces that “burning” sensation.

  • Yes, this is one thing almost all 3 film types do pretty evenly. They block 99% of Harmful UV Rays that can cause skin cancer, making tint a very useful item to help for more than heat and privacy

This wide variety aims to give you full control to go as dark or as light as you’d like.

  • The installation process typically takes a few hours, and we mostly get them done withing the day. Some cars receiving our base package even take less than 2 hours. Exact time depends on the size of your vehicle though, as well as the number of windows being tinted and whether your car requires disassembly for the safest install to protect electronics and trim.

The longest part of the process is the part that keeps your tint perfect for years that other shops might sacrifice for speed to advertise “done in an hour”. That part is the preparation where we do our best make sure there is no dirt that can be pulled into the film, the glass is perfectly ready for adhesion, and the film is properly shrunk and formed to the glass. As well as delicately hand trimming all edges for a seamless, bubble free finish.

  • Initially, we recommend waiting at least 48 hours after installation before rolling down your windows. This gives the edges of film time to settle so they don’t get pulled up.

Clean your windows using a soft cloth and a mild, ammonia-free cleaner to preserve the film, and mind the edges as you clean.

  • In addition to Ceramic Window Tinting, we provide Vinyl Wraps , Commercial Wraps, Paint Protection Film (PPF), Ceramic Coatings , Paint Corrections, Detailing Services, Parts installations, Vehicle Trailering, and more to Enhance, Protect, and Personalize your vehicle.
